On November 20–21, 2019, as a part of the European Union Project ERASMUS+ REHAB “Innovative Rehabilitation Education – Introduction of new master degree programs in Ukraine”, the Testing Board along with the representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine held the “Professional Competence Assessment for the Masters Majoring in Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy” Conference Training. The event took place at the National University of Physical Education and Sports of Ukraine.

The event was attended by a large number of participants:

• the European and Ukrainian partners of the REHAB Project: the Latvian Academy of Sport Education, the National University of Physical Education and Sports of Ukraine, the Ivan Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University, the Ivan Boberskyi Lviv State University of Physical Culture, the Sumy State University;
• members of the Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy Scientific and Methodological Subcommittee of the Scientific and Methodological Council of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine;
• the representative of the branch expert council – the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education of Ukraine;
• specialists in the field of physical and occupational therapy;
• representatives of the higher education establishments that train physical therapists and occupational therapists.

During the Conference Training the reports were presented on the international approaches to the assessment of physical and occupational therapists, as well as on the education field of physical and occupational therapy in Ukraine. The discussions were held on the assessment methods aimed at evaluation of both general and professional competences of physical and occupational therapists. Experience was exchanged regarding the process of development and implementation of the objective structured practical (clinical) exam as a part of graduate examination for the students, who major in Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy. In the trainings and workshops the participants discussed the development of the approaches to examination of the Masters with specialty “227 Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy” and compliance of this examination with the standards of higher education. In particular, discussed were the assessment instruments, the goals of the Unified State Qualification Exam and its components, and the content structuring of “Krok 2” Standardized Test Exam.
