A meeting of the Council of Rectors of Ukrainian medical schools took place

On July 08, 2021 at the Ministry of Health of Ukraine a meeting of the Council of Rectors of Ukrainian medical schools took place. The meeting was headed by Viktor Liashko, the Minister of Health of Ukraine. Among the participants of this meeting were:

Iryna Mykychak, the Deputy Minister of Health of Ukraine;
Tetiana Orabina, the Acting Director General of the Directorate for Medical Personnel, Education and Science at the Ministry of Health of Ukraine;
Oleh Sharov, the Director General of the Directorate for Higher and Vocational Pre-Higher Education at the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine;
Olena Yeremenko, the Deputy Head of the National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance;
Oksana Dmytriieva, a People's Deputy of Ukraine; and
Lesia Oliinyk, the Director of the Testing Board at the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.

At this meeting, many important strategic issues have been discussed, problems and prospects of medical education development in Ukraine have been considered, the outcomes of the academic year 2020/2021 have been summed up, and the results of KROK Exams have been analyzed.

The Testing Board conducts a survey among the students and faculty about the organization of Krok Exams

Dear students and school leaders!

From July 08, 2021 to August 01, 2021, the Testing Board conducts a survey among the students and faculty about the organization of Krok Exams.

The purpose of this survey is to detect any problems, associated with the preparation for and participation in the Unified Stale Qualification Exam and Licensing Integrated Exam, and to find possible solutions to these problems. The participation in the survey is voluntary and anonymous. Its results will be generalized and used to improve the Testing Board’s work.

Please, complete this questionnaire as honestly as you can. We would be grateful if you decide to take part in the survey. The more impartial you are with your answers, the more reliable the survey results will be, which will allow all of us together to maximally improve the quality of the USQE and Licensing Exams.

Date of the Unified State Qualification Exam, Stage 2 for the students majoring in Stomatology and Pharmacy

We would like to inform you that on July 21, 2021 the Testing Board will hold a retake and an additional exam session for the Masters program students majoring in Stomatology and Pharmacy, who still need to pass the USQE, Stage 2 as a part of their Krok 2 integrated test-based exam.

A massive fraud scheme is exposed: Documents have been falsified to pass the Exam at the Uzhhorod National University

Yesterday future dentists all over Ukraine were taking the Krok 2 Exam. At the Uzhhorod National University, the Exam was being taken by 120 Ukrainian students. Among them, there were 35 students, that is, nearly 30% of graduate students, who tried to pass the Exam by means of a fraud, having drawn bribed interns and former graduate students into their scheme. This scheme involved gluing a photo of another person into the examinee’s passport, which was noticed by the Testing Board representatives present at the Exam and duly reported by them to the law enforcement authorities.

Officers of the Migration Police Department, along with investigators from the Zakarpattia Police Head Office, arrived to the place of an attempted fraud and officially registered the fact of a crime.
Currently, the investigation is underway. The passports with signs of forgery have been confiscated.

The Testing Board intends to continue taking all the measures necessary to ensure that any fraudulent activity on the part of Krok examinees is impossible during the Exam.

The new date of the USQE, Stage 1 for the students majoring in “Stomatology”

We would like to inform you that the date of the Unified State Qualification Exam (the USQE), Stage 1 for the students majoring in “Stomatology” will be moved to May 13, 2021.

This decision was made because of quarantine restrictions put in place in response to the spread across the territory of Ukraine of COVID-19 acute respiratory disease caused by SARS-Cov-2. Currently, the “red” level of epidemiologic risk of COVID-19 spread is declared in the cities, where the majority of universities are located.

The Testing Board has already informed the universities about the new date for the USQE, Stage 1 for the students majoring in “Stomatology” (letter № 372/01-25 dated April 22, 2021).
